About the Customer
A leading global Façade company developed a new technology in their Curtain wall Glass product. This was an expensive product where the Glass panels have to be connected to one another and controlled by a central controller on each floor. For this cables needed to be routed through the frames as per the standard to ensure right functioning.
Service Requirement
The Frame manufacturers and installers needed clear instructions from our customer about installation on the selected Frame type. They required 3D models in SolidWorks and 2D CAD drawings to guide them in Frame installation and cable routing.
Enginerio’s Support
Our Solid Works team worked closely with the customer’s engineering team to make sure that we understood the requirements in detail. For this we had detailed discussions, reviewed their AutoCAD Drawing consisting of extrusion profiles and elevation view. We also received SolidWorks file as reference for the cable routing.
For the initial output, we agreed to work on just one Type of Frame. So, we can be sure that our output matched with the customer expectations. We delivered our output, which was very satisfactory, but the customer wanted to get the Drawings and template finalized with their end-user in mind.
The team went to the drawing board once again and after some revisions the template was finalized. After which the project went into full production and we completed the entire set of Frame types earlier than the stipulated time.
The output delivered were
- Cable routing and designing of extrusion frames as per requirements
- Provide detailed drawing which shows the cable routing with its positions and other information.
Further, Enginerio’s team suggested use of explainer Animation videos showing the assembly of extrusions frame and cable routings with the Glass fixed. The customer has asked our team to create 40 seconds of HD Quality and Low resolution explainer Mechanical Animation videos of each Frame assembly based on SolidWorks models. The low res videos shall be sent to the field staff on WhatsApp, while the HD videos will be used on the website and for training purposes.
