OBJECTIVE

The primary objective of this project was to generate 3D Model of the Fire Protection systems and then extract the Pre-Fab Drawings for the main loop cut sheets and branched loop cut sheets in accordance with the client’s specifications. The client wanted us to work on AutoSprink software for creating a detailed 3D geometry based on the CAD files provided.

PROJECT SUMMARY

Our Fire Protection modeling experts are very hands-on Revit Modeling. Now, the objective was to seamlessly convert the designs into AutoSprink 3D geometry while maintaining accuracy and ensuring compliance with industry standards. The project required our BIM modelers / Revit experts to quickly learn and master the AutoSprink software to extract Pre-Fab Drawings and Stock listing.

CHALLENGES

Some of the challenges faced by our team included:

  • Steep Learning Curve: One of the primary challenges was the swift learning of the AutoSprink software. However, our experts efficiently overcame this hurdle through focused training, customer’s expert help and hands-on experience on live projects.
  • Client Standards: Adhering to the client’s standards was crucial. Our team meticulously configured the settings within AutoSprink to align with the specific requirements and standards set by the client.
  • Pipe Stick Length: Ensuring the optimal stick length for pipes was essential for easy transportation and installation. Our team maintained precise measurements to meet these requirements.
  • Data Extraction: Assigning pipe numbers, materials, and extracting essential information for stock listings were critical components of the project. It was crucial to accurately incorporate parameters such as stick length, end preps, outlet positions with angles, and the number of sprinklers into the design.

PROJECT DELIVERABLES

AutoSprink CAD Files: Enginerio’s experts meticulously created detailed 3D geometry files using AutoSprink software. While doing so, they strictly adhered to the industry standards and made sure the pre-fab drawings showcased the main loop cut sheets and branched loop cut sheets as per client specifications.

Stock Listing PDF: A comprehensive PDF document was created. It contained crucial information on pipe numbers, materials, stick length, end preps, outlet positions with angles, and the number of sprinklers. This listing served as a valuable reference to the client for inventory management and installation planning.
